Canvas Printing
We print photographs and artwork onto artist canvas and stretch it over wooden frames, gallery-wrapped so no frame is needed. The result reads as a painting rather than a photograph — matte, textured, and without the glare and reflection that glazed prints have.
Why canvas rather than a framed print
A canvas has no glass, so there is no glare and nothing to reflect the room back at you. The surface texture diffuses light and gives the image the presence of a painted work.
It is also considerably lighter than a glazed and mounted frame of the same size, which makes large pieces practical to hang on ordinary walls.
Gallery wrap and edge options
A gallery wrap continues the image around the sides of the frame, so the piece is finished on all faces and needs no external frame. Alternatively the edges can be a solid colour, or mirrored from the image so nothing is cropped from the front face. We recommend based on the image — a tightly composed photograph often cannot afford to lose the wrap.

How the work is delivered
- Supply the image at the highest resolution you have — this sets the maximum size.
- We check reproduction quality at the intended size before printing.
- Choose the size and the edge treatment: gallery wrap, solid colour or mirrored.
- Printing onto canvas with pigment ink.
- Stretching over seasoned wooden bars and stapling to the reverse.
- Optional protective laminate, then hanging hardware fitted.
Frequently asked questions
What resolution do I need for a canvas print?
It depends on the finished size — the larger the canvas, the more pixels you need. Send us the original file rather than a WhatsApp copy, which is heavily compressed, and we will tell you the largest size it will hold up at before anything is printed.
Will a canvas print fade?
Pigment inks are fade-resistant and will hold for years in normal indoor conditions. Direct sunlight will shorten that for any print regardless of process, so avoid hanging a canvas where the sun falls on it for hours a day.
What is a gallery wrap?
The image continues around the sides of the stretcher frame, so the piece is finished on every face and needs no external frame. If the image is tightly composed and cannot afford to lose that border, we can mirror the edges or use a solid colour instead.
