GRC Relief Work
Relief work in glass fibre reinforced concrete — a material that behaves like cast stone but weighs a fraction of it, used here for both painted and natural-finish compositions.
Painted relief
The Krishna panels show GRC used as a ground for full polychrome painting — modelled form first, then colour worked over it, so the piece carries both sculptural depth and painted atmosphere.
Natural finish
The pastoral panels take the opposite route. Left in a terracotta-toned natural finish, they rely entirely on modelling, and the material reads honestly as what it is. The farmer couple portrait in particular shows how much expression survives when colour is removed and only surface is left to carry it.
